President Biden Defends Mental Acuity Amid Special Counsel Scrutiny
Washington: President Joe Biden vehemently defended himself against Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report questioning his mental acuity and memory. Addressing the issue from the White House, Biden dismissed accusations of hazy memory, especially regarding his son Beau’s death, stating it wasn’t anyone’s business.
Responding to concerns about age and mental acuity, Biden asserted he’s the most qualified person for the presidency.
Despite downplaying worries, Biden mistakenly referred to the President of Egypt as the President of Mexico during the address. While acknowledging responsibility for document mishandling, he disagreed with the report’s conclusions. Special Counsel Hur and Attorney General Merrick Garland declined to comment on Biden’s response. The president emphasized moving forward and continuing his presidential duties.
